Is a T shirt just a T shirt or a polo just a polo?

If you believe that, you probably still think the Earth is flat.  Sure, you can get a t-shirt or polo from a buck to over 300 bux, but what defines these most essential staples in a man's wardrobe? There are a few things to consider here, first, the fabric.  Save money with lower quality fabrics and you will be replacing those tees every month.  And you may save money to start but you end up spending a lot more.  Second, the fit, a great shirt should make you look great.  Today, especially, the black t-shirt is now every guys dress shirt.  Finally, the collar.  A great collar, like ours which is double ribbed, keeps you looking polished and professional for years to come.  

Why is the fabric so important? 

Well, the obvious reason is that its touching your skin.  Maybe you enjoy scratchy feeling cotton against your skin, but for the majority, we prefer something that just feels delicious on our skin.  Come out of the shower and put a freshly laundered shirt on should leave you breathless.  Also, a better fabric lasts longer and looks cleaner and leveled up.  A guy that is out and about in an ill fitting, washed out, beaten t-shirt just looks like he has cats for pets.

How should a great t-shirt fit?

A great shirt should work with the shape of your body.  The sleeves should follow your arms.  Those big, blown out sleeves are great if you want to hide small animals in your sleeve or plan to start taking steroids and becoming a gym rat.  And I cannot say it enough, the collar is crucial.  It should fit right, inviting the on lookers eyes to want to look at your mug.  A saggy collar ensures they will remain focused on your neck line, probably too scared to look further.
